Pan – Marc Pinta Pastorale 60
Marc Pinta Pastorale 60 for sale in Carriacou, Grenada. Built in France in 1988 by the renowned builder Chantier Marc Pinta, the Pastorale is a highly impressive performance cruiser that offers both comfort and speed. It is not uncommon to see 240nm days on ‘Pan’. With superior construction that uses only the finest materials and techniques, and with the first owner’s pursuit of excellence, there is no doubt that this vessel is exceptionally well-founded.
The current owner, who has been in the marine industry for 40 years as a captain of large high-end sailing vessels and as a project manager and consultant for construction and refits, has owned Pan for five years. During this time, the owner has meticulously inspected every inch of the boat to ensure that all systems are functioning at their peak. The vessel’s wiring is high-quality military spec, sea cocks are recent Marelon, the bilges are dry, and there is a workshop/technical room filled with tools of all kinds and numerous spares.
The boat features a spacious galley and salon area, multiple fridges and freezers, 1200W solar array, wind charger, recent Lifeline batteries, water maker, multiple inverters, 3kW DC alternator, furling screecher, electro-hydraulic winches, recent composite hardtop, dual complete B&G autopilots, and much more.
Despite the owner’s preference for functionality and easy access to all systems, the original Ash joinery has aged remarkably well, a testament not only to the owner’s care, but also to the skilled artisans who built the vessel. The previous vinyl liners have been removed in some areas, and the GRP surfaces have been Awlgripped, with wiring neatly encased in wiring sleeves. The result is a pleasing mix of warm wood surfaces and functional simplicity.
This vessel is a strong, light, fast, and comfortable long-distance cruiser that embodies quality. It is an excellent option for those looking for a serious voyager with a great turn of speed.
