Sundeer 64 for sale in Carriacou, Grenada. Atla would the ultimate around-the-world boat. Fast safe comfortable. She starts to plane at 9,5 knots while the maximum hull speed is 10,7 knots. The rig is easy to handle with a small crew. Current owner sailed her solo from Salvador in Brasil to Grenada, 2600 miles in 16 days. The water ballast tank keeps her upright and is also part of the security as they create a double hull along the waterline. She is also very safe with three waterproof compartments. The engine is in the aft compartment with very easy access from above on both sides of the engine. A belt-driven high-capacity pump is mounted on the motor and connected to all three compartments. With full tanks, you can run the pump for ten days and reach 1500 miles. The boat will float with one compartment flooded.
The pilot house gives good protection and the boat is sailed from here when on passage. Below is a comfortable salon and a well-equipped and work-safe kitchen. The cabins (two of which have a bathroom and toilet) in the front one there is also a washing machine (almost new) and you have air conditioning.
A wonderful boat to live on and sail the world. Although she is built in 1994, the lines and design beat almost any modern boat in safety, speed and beauty. It’s a boat that draws the eyes of fellow sailors and you should be prepared to answer many curious questions wherever you are. This boat is a legend and it is a pity that more were not built. I would say this is still one of the best boats for circumnavigation fully equipped with all things in working order ready to go.
